DH Kim founded Finhaven based on a core central belief: Smart application of technology will be used to eliminate friction from buying, selling and handling securities in both public and private markets, automating the exchange of documents and certificates that slows the current system down. He has advocated innovations in capital markets at international economic conferences and summits around the world including New York, London, Seoul, Tel Aviv and Zurich. Prior to Finhaven, DH spent time in the corporate finance teams with Merrill Lynch, and served as Executive Vice President of Dongwon Resource Group and CEO of NMC Resource Corporation.

DH is a member of the BC Securities Commission’s FinTech Advisory forum and has lectured at Columbia University, New York University, and Korea University. DH also obtained his master’s degree in International Finance and Business from Columbia University.

Dustin Reid

VP, Chief Fixed Income Strategist, Mackenzie Investments

Dustin Reid contributes to Mackenzie’s fixed income portfolio through his ongoing macro research and analysis of global monetary and fiscal policy, economic data, geopolitical analysis and market positioning. His analysis helps to determine duration, yield curve and currency positions for Mackenzie’s strategies; Dustin also does a monthly podcast for the firm speaking about fixed income macro and markets.

Dustin began his career in 1997 on the quantitative research team at RBC before working as an economist and FX strategist with UBS. After working as a trader for the Bank of Canada’s Foreign Reserve Fund, Dustin relocated to the US and held senior FX strategist roles at ABN Amro, and at BBVA where he was Global Head. Before joining Mackenzie, Dustin was Chief Market Strategist at Medley Global Advisors, a well-respected, independent macro research house.

Dustin earned a BA in economics from McGill University, and his MBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. Additionally, Dustin is a member of Board of Governors for SickKids Foundation.
