DH Kim founded Finhaven based on a core central belief: smart application of technology will be used to eliminate friction from buying, selling and handling securities in both public and private markets, automating the exchange of documents and certificates that slows the current system down. He has advocated innovations in capital markets at international economic conferences and summits around the world including New York, London, Seoul, Tel Aviv and Zurich. Prior to Finhaven, DH spent time in the corporate finance teams with Merrill Lynch, and served as Executive Vice President of Dongwon Resource Group and CEO of NMC Resource Corporation.
DH is a member of the BC Securities Commission’s FinTech Advisory forum and has lectured at Columbia University, New York University, and Korea University. DH also obtained his master’s degree in International Finance and Business from Columbia University.
Uzair Merchant
Writer / Director
Uzair has 11 years experience in the film industry and has worked on featured projects such as The Misfits (released 2021), Deadpool 2, Star Trek Beyond, Fast and Furious 7, Skyfall (James Bond movie), the tv series such as BBC Sesame Street and commercials such as McDonalds, VW, Cadillac, UAE Expo 2015, 7Up etc.
He has also production designed for the world’s largest cultural theme park, Global Village in Dubai, winning best pavilion award. His last short, ‘Chasing Lines’, (shot on iPhone) has won 11 awards from Los Angeles Film Awards, New York Film awards and many more international festivals. He is currently building a multi-franchise universe -The kreativ Universe and is the founder of The Kreativ Lab.
His feature script, The 8th Sin, won an honourable mention for Best SciFi script in 2019 at the Los Angeles Film Awards. In 2020 Uzair has won 5 international screenplay awards in multiple categories such as best action screenplay and best sci-fi screenplay at the Los Angeles film awards, top short and a few others. He has also won best screenplay for his latest tv series, also published as a graphic novel: BLACK ROSE – now in pre production.
James Bamford
Director
James Bamford, also known by the nickname BamBam, is a Canadian film & television director. He was the sole directing producer of the series Arrow and has directed 17 episodes of the series including multiple season openers, season finales, series crossovers and the series finale.
He started his career in the film and television industry as a stuntman and has worked as a stunt co-ordinator and fight choreographer for notable films such as The Butterfly Effect (feat. Ashton Kutcher), X-men 3: The Last Stand, and notable TV series such as Stargate SG-1 (feat. Richard Dean Anderson), Stargate Atlantis (feat. Jason Momoa), Stargate Universe (feat. Robert Carlyle), Sanctuary (feat. Amanda Tapping), Flash Gordon and Halo 4.
In 2013, Bamford won the Leo Award for Best Stunt Coordination in a Television Movie for Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. In 2016 he, along with colleagues JJ Makara, Eli Zagoudakis. and Curtis Braconnier, won the Leo Award for Best Stunt Coordination in a Dramatic Series for the Arrow episode, Brotherhood, in which Bamford made his directorial debut.
